Prior to signing with Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. By the end of 2011, the Cleveland artist became an international star following his transition from self-releasing mixtapes to working for reputed record labels. In the following years, every album he released came in at #10 on the chart.
